When Justin Bieber was in Paris on Thursday (May 31) to perform a secret show for his fans in the lead-up to the release of his Believe album, he got a surprise of his own when he walked into a glass wall, injuring himself mid-set.

According to an interview with TMZ, he bumped into the wall but was able to finish out the performance.

"I was performing, and I was going offstage and, basically, I'm in Paris and performing on the tallest building in Paris, and there's a glass wall behind me, but there's a railing behind the glass. And so I went to reach for the railing and I hit my head on the glass," he explained. "And I guess me and glass windows don't really go together."

He is referring to a viral video of himself going through a glass revolving door where he hit his head from back in 2010. However, this incident was a bit more serious and he added that he "felt lightheaded," but "my adrenaline pushed me through it and I performed the last song."

After he walked off the stage, he passed out for 15 seconds and later learned he suffered a concussion. "I feel good. I feel good," he assured his fans. "I have a little bit of a headache, but I feel fine."

On top of clearing the air with TMZ about the incident, he was able to laugh it off on Twitter: "Thanks for the love but there are alot of people out there who need prayers. im fine. just smacked my head and needed some water. all good. im Canadian. we are tough. lol. its all good. just gotta take it easy the rest of the night. back at it again for u guys tomorrow. Thanks.

"The fact you all knew what happened before my mom even did is impressive. lol. I have amazing fans. very grateful for your love," he continued. "Gonna eat, rest, get some sleep and tomorrow Im back at it. The show must go on! Love yall. We got this."

Bieber had this message for the glass wall. "I will see u again Glass. I will have my revenge. BIEBER vs GLASS. MGM LAS VEGAS 2013. lol. #GottaLaughAtYourself," he joked.

While chatting with TMZ, Bieber also commented on the pandemonium he stirred up when he performed a secret show in Oslo, Norway, earlier this week, during which several young fans were injured.

"Oh my goodness that was crazy. The fans were insane. I even had to go to this secret location or else they were going to cancel my show, it was crazy," he said. "Norway's been waiting for me to come, and I've never been to Norway. It was nuts."

Despite several minor setbacks on his secret-show tour, Bieber plans to continue his final 10 around the world in the lead-up to the June 19 album release.

When MTV News caught up with Bieber before Sunday's MTV Movie Awards, he threw all his support behind multi-nominee "Bridesmaids." "I just think it was funny. It's kind of like the female version of 'The Hangover,' " he said.

'Prometheus': The (Early) Reviews Are In!

Critics love the effects and praise Michael Fassbender's performance, but some feel the sci-fi flick gets lost in its own high-mindedness.
By John Mitchell

One of the summer's most anticipated films, director Ridley Scott's "Prometheus," doesn't open until June 8, but early reviews for the sci-fi blockbuster are already trickling in, something many studios would fear so far ahead of a film's release — that is, if they weren't as universally positive.

So far, the consensus is clear: "Prometheus" is a flawed film with a lot of great things going for it, most notably a breakout scene-stealing performance from Michael Fassbender ("Shame"), inspired and amazing 3-D effects and plenty of "jolt and amaze" moments that all but assure filmgoers "will be right back for seconds" when 20th Century Fox releases the film next Friday.

Critics have nothing but praise for the performances of Charlize Theron, Noomi Rapace and Idris Elba, though they are particularly emphatic in their appreciation for Fassbender as the android butler David. When MTV News caught up with Theron recently, she gushed about what makes Fassbender worthy of all that praise. And for fans who can't wait to see the cast in action, Theron will appear at the MTV Movie Awards, airing this Sunday, June 3 at 9 p.m. E.T. on MTV.

"Technically, 'Prometheus' is magnificent. Shot in 3-D but without the director taking the process into account in his conceptions or execution, the film absorbs and uses the process seamlessly," The Hollywood Reporter writes. "There is nary a false or phony note in the effects."

"Scott and his production crew compensate to some degree with an intricate, immersive visual design that doesn't skimp on futuristic eye-candy or prosthetic splatter," Variety agrees.

Those going in expecting a straightforward prequel to Scott's "Alien" may be disappointed. While it does answer a few questions burning in the minds of sci-fi aficionados, including some insight into the acid-for-blood aliens of the original series and the spacecraft they are discovered aboard, "Prometheus" is very much its own film.

"Much of Scott's audience are expecting a fully-formed prequel to 'Alien,'" The Telegraph writes, "but 'Prometheus' only really lays the groundwork, leaving plenty of dots disconnected."

Though movie review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes is only culling from nine reviews so far, many of them are from top critics, and the film enjoys an 88 percent "fresh" rating. That puts "Prometheus," presently, a few points ahead of "The Hunger Games" and a few points behind "The Avengers" in the race for best-reviewed blockbuster of the year so far. And several critics attribute that standing to Fassbender.

"Upstaging everyone is Fassbender, who provides the film's real glint of steel, while decentring its dramatic focus," the Guardian continues. "[Fassbender] steals the film with the chilling, parasitic relentlessness of that first gut-bound alien."

"The film contains the ideal embodiment of its sly existential paradox in David, the man-made manservant whose soulfully soulless presence brings to mind both 'A.I.' and '2001'; he's like HAL 9000 with better cheekbones," Variety concludes. "In a particularly witty touch, Fassbender's droll performance takes its cues from Peter O'Toole in 'Lawrence of Arabia,' a clip of which David continually watches as a model for how to behave around humans."

The ultimate result, according to THR, is a "visual feast of a 3D sci-fi movie that has trouble combining its high-minded notions about the origins of the species and its 'Alien'-based obligation to deliver oozy gross-out moments."

It's a sentiment echoed by The Guardian: "It is a muddled, intricate, spectacular film, but more or less in control of all its craziness and is very watchable. It lacks the central killer punch of 'Alien': it doesn't have its satirical brilliance and its tough, rationalist attack on human agency and guilt. But there's a driving narrative impulse, and, however silly, a kind of idealism, a sense that it's exciting to make contact with whatever's out there."

Are you planning to see "Prometheus"? Let us know in the comments below!

Stephenie Meyer Talks The Host: "It's a Lot Calmer" Without Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart

The Host, Robert Pattinson, Kristen StewartChockstone Pictures; Kevin Winter/Getty Images

Twi-hards, sink your teeth into this: Stephenie Meyer's The Host is so not the next Twilight.

Seriously, S.M. has traded her sparkly vamps for out-of-this-world aliens in her follow up to the Twilight juggernaut—the sci-fi flick's directed by Andrew Niccols and stars Irish beauty Saoirse Ronan and MTV News caught up with Ms. Meyer on set in New Mexico where she gushed over her involvement in the production.

But that wasn't all Steph had to spill, she couldn't help toss a subtle diss regarding the two Twilight stars who weren't by her side. Can you guess who?!

READ: Five Things to Know About Stephenie Meyer's Post-Twilight Flick, The Host

"It makes it a lot calmer," Steph 'fessed up when asked if it felt odd not to have Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart on set. "I do miss them [Rob and Kristen] though."

Say what?! Was that a Twilight diss, Ms. Meyer? It's no secret there was mucho drama on the Twilight set and we're guessing Steph's relieved not to be dealing with all those horny teens and crazy love triangles. (Really, can you blame her?)

Hello, you either have JavaScript turned off or an old version of Adobe's Flash Player. Get the latest Flash player.

Still, Steph has lots of love for the two stars who made her flick such a sensation (well, at least one of them):

"It seems funny not to have Kristen here, you know I'm on a set and I can't talk to Kristen…that's a little funny," Meyer admitted.

WATCH: The Host Trailer: Stephenie Meyer Ditches Vampires for Aliens in Twilight Follow-Up!

Who knew Steph was such a Krisbian?! And uh, what about Rob and poor Taylor Lautner?!

Anyway, from her K.Stew loving comments to her kind words on Fifty Shades of Grey, we're big fans of Ms. Meyer's 'tude as of late and as production continues on The Host, we're getting excited to see what else Steph has up that supernatural sleeve.

Here's a quick refresher of the plot:

In a futuristic world, a parasitic alien race called Souls invade human bodies and erase their personalities, but Melanie Stryder (Saoirse Ronan) refuses her captor's mind control. Cue the love triangle and the action-packed adventure, as Melanie and her parasite seek out the last of Melanie's human relatives and search for her love.

Sound pretty intense, right? We're certainly excited and even Saoirse Ronan admitted the movie got pretty friggin' physical:

READ: Watch Out, Kristen Stewart! Stephenie Meyer's The Host Poster Revealed

"I didn't expect it to be so physical. I've been in a harness quite a bit, I've done stunts, I jumped off a balcony it was 30 feet in the air," Ronan proudly revealed. "That was pretty cool."

Seems like the perfect departure from all those cheesy Twilight love scenes, and we're anxious to see if the all-star cast hits a high note with Steph's dedicated fan base.

Be sure to check out the rest of the interview for even more on-set secrets! And then hit the comments to share your thoughts on Stephenie's latest flick!

Lea Michele, Megan Fox, Vanessa Hudgens, Jessica AlbaFameFlynet; GSI Media

As we all know, Memorial Day weekend unofficially kicks off the summer season. And along with that comes the promise of warmer temps, sweet BBQs and, of course, celebs in sexy swimwear!

That's right. Lovely ladies who are so comfortable in their own skin, they have no problem showing off said skin.

So as we patiently (OK, impatiently) wait to see what the hotties of Hollywood will be serving up as they hit the sand and surf over the next few months, we thought it might be nice to pause and look back at what the likes of Lea Michele, Megan Fox, Vanessa Hudgens and Jessica Alba (just to name a few) have already graciously given us this year.

Not a bad way to bide your time, right?

Kris Allen Admits He Tried Out For the Lead Role in 'Rock Of Ages'

Ever wish you could see one of your favorite American Idol stars on the big screen? Well, you came close to seeing that happen.

In an exclusive interview with OK!, season 8 winner Kris Allen reveals that he tried out for the lead role in the upcoming movie Rock of Ages!

Kris admits to OK!, "I tried out for a movie and it was a pretty big movie. It was the lead role!"

OK! GALLERY: KRIS ALLEN PERFORMS AT CD LISTENING PARTY FOR SOPHOMORE ALBUM AT MIXOLOGY 101

After trying to hold back and not reveal which film it was, he let it out just for OK!:

"It was Rock of Ages! Everyone was like, you have to try out for this. I would have been terrible! I am supposed to have long hair and be this rock star guy. I would have sucked at it," says Kris, laughing.

"They said I was the best singer that had come in so far, which was cool, especially since the songs I was singing were like Foreigner songs. But I did the acting part, which I am sure I bombed. I never tried out for anything before."

So would "The Vision of Love" singer try to do more acting?

"No.... maybe if it comes around again someday. But that is just not my thing. I'd probably freeze up a little bit," Kris admits. "As long as the music thing is going okay, I'm probably going to stick to that. Or if it is at a good place, and something came up randomly, and I was going to be perfect for the part, I would do it. But I was not perfect for the lead role in Rock of Ages."

Too bad! We would have loved to have seen Kris in the role alongside Julianne Hough and Tom Cruise. Do you think Kris would have been right for Rock of Ages?

Arts & Leisure: Walter Salles Adapts Kerouac’s ‘On the Road’

Sundance Selects

From left, Sam Riley, Kristen Stewart and Garrett Hedlund in “On the Road.”

FOR filmmakers trying to capture the spirit of the Beats, there has always been the pressure — stated or not — of their work living up to the legends. Survivors of the movement, and the scholars who chronicled their every move, are certain to cast an unforgiving eye.

It has been no different for Walter Salles, the first director to finally wrestle Jack Kerouac’s “On the Road” to the big screen more than five decades after its publication caused a literary sensation and launched a thousand road trips, not to mention innumerable road movies.

Mr. Salles’s answer was to endear himself to virtually every living Beat poet, artist and philosopher with a stake in the book’s legacy while literally retracing Kerouac’s crisscrossing of the country with a Super 8 camera. In other words, if you can’t beat ’em, join ’em.

Among the Kerouac contemporaries Mr. Salles interviewed were the poets Gary Snyder, Lawrence Ferlinghetti, Michael McClure, Diane di Prima and Amiri Baraka, as well as the Kerouac biographers Gerald Nicosia and Barry Gifford, who served as consultants on the film. The process consumed five of the eight years that the director has been toiling on the project, which had its premiere this month at the Cannes Film Festival and is expected to reach theaters in the fall.

“I was well aware that my passion for the book was not sufficient to justify launching into an adaptation straight away,” Mr. Salles, who is compiling the footage into a documentary, said by e-mail. “In fact, making the feature film ceased to be my main concern at the time. Understanding and getting to know these people better became my main goal.”

It was the kind of dogged determination that won over Mr. Gifford, who took a stab at the material in the mid-’90s, first with the director Francis Ford Coppola, credited as executive producer of the new film, then with Gus Van Sant. “I know that Walter certainly did his due diligence and read everything available, including my screenplay,” Mr. Gifford said. “So I think his understanding of it all was proper and well placed and certainly well intentioned.”

On the Road” completes the holy trinity of Beat masterpieces that have confounded filmmakers for several years, including David Cronenberg’s wildly fanciful take on William S. Burroughs’s “Naked Lunch,” from 1991, and Rob Epstein and Jeffrey Friedman’s 2010 docudrama of Allen Ginsberg’s “Howl.” The Beats’ core group of characters were so intertwined in their heyday that “Howl,” “Road” and “Lunch” were published within three years of each other, and all three film versions feature an overlapping cast of characters, many of whom will be seen in “Kill Your Darlings,” due in 2013 and based on the murder of David Kammerer by Lucien Carr, a key member of the original New York Beats.

With “Howl,” every line of dialogue was based on public record, whether lifted from the poem, letters, interviews with Ginsberg or transcripts from the obscenity trial that followed the poem’s publication. Though it tanked at the box office, the film, starring James Franco as Ginsberg, received generally favorable reviews. Writing in The New York Times, A. O. Scott awarded it high marks: “ ‘Howl’ does something that sounds simple until you consider how rarely it occurs in films of any kind. It takes a familiar, celebrated piece of writing and makes it come alive.”

Mr. Cronenberg tried the opposite tack on “Naked Lunch,” the most genre-defying of the Beat classics, by taking extreme dramatic license. For the Criterion Collection DVD package, he talked about fusing his own sensibility with that of Burroughs and creating a third one “that neither he nor I would have done on our own.”

Mr. Cronenberg, incorporated incidents from Burroughs’s life, including the infamous “William Tell” routine when he accidentally shot and killed his wife, Joan Vollmer (also depicted in the straight-to-video 2000 movie, “Beat”). Burroughs is seen on the set, a seemingly willing participant, allowing the director to say “I got my blessings from the pope.”

In dealing with the Beats, that validation appears to be crucial in warding off later public criticism. When John Byrum wrote and directed “Heart Beat” (1980), based on Carolyn Cassady’s memoir “Heart Beat: My Life With Jack and Neal,” Mr. Ginsberg, who died in 1997, refused the use of his name in the movie. Nick Nolte played Neal Cassady, Kerouac’s confidant and muse, with a kind of mean streak — more cruel cad than holy goof.

“Allen just didn’t like the whole idea of us doing it,” Mr. Nolte said at the time. “He felt the script didn’t capture it right. But I turn around and say to Allen Ginsberg: ‘I have a relationship with Jack Kerouac myself. I read his book “On the Road” in 1959. He represents something to me, too. So I have a right to interpret Neal Cassady myself.’ ”

But the resulting film did not hit the mark — writing in The Times, Vincent Canby called it “solemnly self-important and banal.” And even though Ms. Cassady spent time with the cast during the filming of “Heart Beat,” she suggested that Mr. Salles, with whom she also consulted, not see the film during his own preparations.

Britney Spears Joins X Factor Judge Panel

Simon Cowell finally announced what we all knew was coming, Britney Spears is joining X Factor Judge Panel. Cowell tweeted a photo of himself with Britney, L.A. Reid and the show’s 4th judge Demi Lovato, saying “Can’t believe it’s finally happened. Very exciting!” Britney’s conservators, her fiancé Jason Trawick and her dad Jamie Spears, signed the $15 million deal on her behalf. Demi Lovato has officially signed her deal and will be a judge on the next season of “The X Factor” as well. It’s unclear how much she’s getting paid, but it’s fair to assume her paycheck’s going to weigh a lot less than Britney’s. The two will be joining returning judges Simon Cowell and L.A. Reid.

Drake's Says His Critics 'Let Me Know That I'm Relevant'

'It's important for me to let my fans know I really don't care. I'm confident,' Drake tells MTV News of how he deals with constant criticism.
By Rob Markman, with reporting by Sway Calloway

Drake
Photo: MTV News

Drake understands that no artist is above criticism. So it's not that Drizzy doesn't hear his detractors, he just chooses to ignore them. At least that's what he told MTV News' Sway Calloway during a May 17 Club Paradise tour stop in Houston, Texas. "There will be days when I walk in an arena and people will cheer and then there might be days when I walk in an arena and people might boo, but it all sounds the same to me because it's all just noise that lets me know that I'm relevant," Drake said, sharing some words of wisdom that was given to him by boxing champ Floyd Mayweather.

"I don't get booed," Drizzy continued. "I don't face that. I mean he faces that challenge but my challenge is more with social media and open opinions and people just feeling like they need to talk."

Drake's music, and just about his every move, is dissected through the media as well as on Twitter and blogs. The fact that he sings as well as raps has made him a target for those looking to take away his hip-hop cred. Still, the "Headlines" MC remains one of rap's most successful draws today.

Common called him out the OVO general on "Sweet," a single from his 2011 album The Dreamer/The Believer. Many also believe that G.O.O.D Music's Pusha T has also been throwing subliminal jabs at Drake, first on last year's "Don't F--k With Me" freestyle, then on his "Sweet" freestyle. Pusha has gone on record saying that he wasn't dissing Drake and he actually likes the Toronto MC's music, but after Push dropped his new single "Exodus 23:1," speculation began to swirl that he was again taking aim and Drake and his mentor Lil Wayne. Weezy responded with a poignant tweet: "F--- pusha t and anybody that love em."

It is important to note that when he sat with Sway, Drake did not address Pusha T or any other rappers directly, but he did speak about his detractors in a very general sense. "It's important for me to let my fans know I really don't care. I'm confident," he said sternly. "I love the music I make and the videos I make and the people I associate with and every decision I've ever made."

For Drake, taking the stage on each stop of his Club Paradise Tour is all the assurance that he needs. "Just to let [fans] know that I don't care about anything else outside of this right here," he said from backstage at Houston's Toyota Center, referencing the army of fans waiting for him to perform. "That other stuff, hiding behind computers and yip-yapping all day on radio stations, it's like that's cool, man, for points and popularity, but at the end of the day, there is still 15,000 people here."

Just the two of us! Kerry Katona and daughter Molly take part in charity bike ride together

By Colette Fahy

|

She was seen sharing a tender kiss with her daughter Molly last weekend.

And Kerry Katona and her eldest child have been spending more time bonding and the pair were seen taking part in a charity bike ride together yesterday.

The reality TV star – who is an ambassador for the organisation Dreams Come True which helps terminally and seriously ill children across the UK – kicked off the charity’s Cycle the Olympic Route event at Richmond Park in Surrey.

Katona, 31, was in great spirits as she took to her bike, aided no doubt by the presence of her 10-year-old daughter Molly, from her first marriage to former Westlife singer Brian McFadden.

Mother and daughter sported matching grey sweatpants and helmets for the excursion, with Molly choosing one of the charity’s t-shirts while Kerry showed off her tan in a Dreams Come True vest top.

Her new hair extensions were also visible underneath her safety helmet and it looked as if the reported £8,500 Kerry recently splashed out on liposuction was worth it as she paraded her trim figure.

The two day event was been put together by Ride2Raise with competitors – who have been raising funds for Dreams Come True - set to stay in a hotel tonight before completing the course tomorrow.

Money well spent: Kerry's reported £8,500 liposuction has restored her trim figure and the reality TV star couldn't have looked happier

Despite Kerry’s previous personal troubles, which have included drug taking and being diagnosed with bi-polar disorder, she says she always puts her children first and indeed Molly appeared to be delighted to be spending the day with her mum.

Their joint appearance comes less than a week after Kerry and Molly were spotted sharing a tender hug and kiss recently as they enjoyed a walk near Katona's Surrey home.

The pair were seen beaming as they shared the intimate and loving moment together.

While Kerry’s personal life appears to be back on track, including a happy relationship with Steve Alce, there appears to be no chance she will return to her pop career with Atomic Kitten after Jenny Frost recently spoke out against it.

Jenny Frost - who replaced Kerry in 2001 - spoke recently about her feelings on the pop group reforming, but admitted that Kerry wouldn't be a part of it.

She said: 'I don't want to be derogatory about Kerry, but there shouldn't be four of us in Atomic Kitten. When we do anything, it will be just the three of us.'

After supporting his girlfriend Kristen Stewart as she debuted "On the Road," Robert Pattinson hit the Cannes Film Festival on Friday (May 25) to premiere his film "Cosmopolis." Directed by David Cronenberg, the film follows Eric Packer (Pattinson) in the not-too-distant future as he's chauffeured through Manhattan on his way to get a haircut. His entire world is falling apart — his marriage is failing, his financial status is slipping and even his very life is being threatened.

As reviews of the film pour in, it's apparent that critics agree the film has its odd moments, but they're split on whether Pattinson is the perfect choice for the lead role. Here's what the critics had to say about "Cosmopolis."

The Story
" 'Cosmopolis,' an adaptation of Don DeLillo's typically provocative novel of the same name, is the first feature film since 1999's 'eXistenZ' that filmmaker David Cronenberg has directed and scripted. This in part explains why 'Cosmopolis' is such a triumph: it's both an exceptional adaptation and a remarkable work unto itself.

Cronenberg makes slight but salient changes to DeLillo's source narrative. These changes, which are best described by one character as 'slight variation[s],' prove that Cronenberg's given serious consideration to what should and shouldn't be represented in his adaptation of the author's ruminative, conversation-driven narrative. For example, in Cronenberg's film, Eric Packer (a surprisingly adequate Robert Pattinson), an ambivalent and self-destructive power broker, does not get to have sex with his wife like he's wanted to do throughout DeLillo's book. Other changes, like the fact that Packer is investing and studying the steady rise in the Chinese yuan in the film and not the Japanese yen, as in the book, are equally striking. These differences noticeably enrich DeLillo's original story, making Cronenberg's 'Cosmopolis' that much more rewarding in its own dizzying way." — Simon Abrams, Indiewire

Robert Pattinson
"On the page and on film, Eric is a controlled and controlling figure, a man impervious to society's norms who one must feel has a mind operating well beyond the capacities of mere mortals. He's utterly humorless and without detectable compassion or accessible humanity, which makes him less than companionable as a character. Pattinson doesn't help matters by revealing nothing behind the eyes and delivering nearly all his lines with the same rhythm and intonations, plus repetitive head nods in the bargain. It's a tough character that perhaps a young Jeremy Irons could have made riveting, but Pattinson is too bland and monotonous to hold the interest." — Todd McCarthy, The Hollywood Reporter

"After 'Water for Elephants' it remains to be seen whether Pattinson's teen following really is willing to follow him anywhere. But 'Cosmopolis' does prove that he has the chops, and he parlays his cult persona beautifully into the spoiled, demanding Packer, a man so controlling and ruthless that only he has the power to ruin himself. Lean and spiky — with his clean white shirt he resembles a groomed Sid Vicious — Pattinson nails a difficult part almost perfectly." — Damon Wise, Empire Online

The Details
"There are other cast members who do an excellent idea of wrapping their heads around DeLillo's big ideas and Cronenberg's indirect dialogue — Juliette Binoche and Samantha Morton, Mathieu Almaric and Paul Giamatti — and the music, by Metric, supplies the right kind of spiky, sensuous unease for a man driven across town and driven to self-destruction. The film's cynicism is both majestic and well-earned; at one point, Eric notes '... nobody hates the rich ... everybody thinks they're ten seconds away from being rich.' A chilly, crisp and crystal-shard sharp satire of our money-crazed world, 'Cosmopolis' takes us on a limo ride through the collapse of modern society: We're not behind the wheel for this ride, but rest assured, in the end, we're going to have to get out and pay for it." — James Rocchi, MSN.com

The Final Word
"[R]ather than a thriller, 'Cosmopolis' plays more like a wispy film of ideas, with conversations in the limo about society, wealth and humanity dominating most of the screen time. Almost all of these feel detached and meticulously unfocused. Characters toss around ideas or questions, which their conversation partner then promptly ignores or responds to with a non-sequitur. It's often reminiscent of work by playwright/screenwriter Harold Pinter, but never quite as fun, nor nearly as humorous as it should be. ... Cronenberg has still made an odd, uncompromising and occasionally brilliant film of his own, one which is well worth seeing if only for the deft way Cronenberg finds an emotional arc in such an inhuman world. Or else to see how perfectly Pattinson's performance suits the director." — Brian Clark, Twitch

NEW YORK — Armed with Nerf guns, the five guys of One Direction hit up the "Men in Black 3" premiere at the Ziegfeld Theatre, ready to face any kind of challenges.

The fivesome, who kicked off their headlining U.S. tour on Tuesday night, took a break from the road to catch the film. They also chatted with MTV News on the red carpet about why they felt they needed a line of defense for the fete.

"We're safe [with them and we'll use them on] anyone who gets brave," Louis Tomlinson joked about their Nerf guns. But the fellas did have a real reason for wanting to catch the film: They are big fans of the "Men in Black" franchise and have been for quite some time.

"[They are] great films, aren't they?" Tomlinson added. "I just think it's fun and the action's great. We were young when the first came out, so we kind of grew up with them."

Once inside the theater, instead of having to fend off anyone who might have gotten in their way, they gave the guns away to a few young fans who ran up to them. While security did their best to keep fans away from the boy banders, one young girl managed to get to the floppy-haired Harry Styles. All five guys agreed to give the girl their autograph. Before the film started, they hung out in their seats, munching on popcorn while adoring fans and their moms checked the guys out.

Later on, at the after-party held on the USS Intrepid, fans followed the band as they made their way around the bash, including down several flights of stairs to the bathrooms. They didn't stop for anyone, but they smiled and waved occasionally.

The guys won't have too much time to hit up more movie premieres since they are back to playing Thursday night (May 24) in Virginia. One Direction will continue on their summer tour through July. Meanwhile, "Men in Black 3" opens Friday.

Bethenny Frankel & Jason Hoppy…Ever Over???

Jason Hoppy Bethenny Divorce

Oh no!

Could reality star and business woman Bethenny Frankel be prepping to sign divorce papers?!

While the marriage problems between Bethenny and hubby Jason Hoppy have been openly aired on her show, Bethenny Ever After, it seems like a divorce really may be in the works!

Reportedly, both Frankel AND Hoppy have recently met with divorce lawyers and a source has said that they will definitely be going through with ending their 2 year marriage.

So sad! We hope not…especially for the sake of their 2 year old baby girl, Bryn!

Supposedly, there may even be another man in the picture — Bethenny’s Skinnygirl business partner, Matt Hesse!

A source revealed that they saw Bethenny and Matt out to dinner in NYC three months ago…looking like they were getting a little TOO close!

The onlooker said:

“They walked through the restaurant with his chest pressed up against her back, and she leaned back and he whispered in her ear. Then, they went up the stairs to a private dining area together, literally with their arms wrapped around each other.”

Oh shiz!!

Though Matt denies anything between him and Bethenny, Jason isn’t having any of it and is waiting for the best time to officially file.

Bethenny’s estranged mom has of course spoken out, yet again, saying:

"It’s all karma. I called [their break-up] before their wedding day. This was dead in the water even before it began. His problem is he’s too nice, and she’ll grab another nice one. He is replaceable. Nice is boring, and Bethenny gets bored with nice.”

Hmm…we’re not so sure how reliable of a source Bethenny’s mom is…especially since the former NY Real Housewife has explained in the past that the two don’t even TALK!

Guess we’ll have to wait and see how it all pans out…and if Bethenny's mom is up to no good this time around!

We hope Jason and Bethenny work it out and wish them the best!
