50 Cent Goes After Chief Keef For Ditching Video Shoot

After Fif's boxing-promoter license was approved in Vegas, he takes to Twitter to scold the Chi-Town rapper.

After publicly feuding with longtime friend and business partner Floyd Mayweather via the Twitterverse and separating from the boxer's TMT Promotions, 50 Cent got the last laugh in Nevada on Thursday after his application to promote boxing was approved.

But all things in the Silver State didn't go 50's way, though, as rap newcomer Chief Keef reportedly spurned a scheduled video shoot for the song "Hate Being Sober," from his upcoming debut, Finally Rich, featuring 50 and Wiz Khalifa.

Fif took to Twitter to scold the Interscope rookie on his lack of professionalism: "@chiefkeef didn't show up to his own video. I never saw anything like this on the first song," 50 tweeted (since deleted), adding, "Its not funny @ChiefKeef didn't sell any records yet, they will pull the plug on him.SMSAUDIO."

The Chicagoan's stiff arm must have been disappointing to 50, who co-signed the young spitter's talent over French Montana's after he had an online war of words with the "Pop That" MC: "Hip Hop best new artist @chiefkeef hands down. SMSaudio." 50 even elaborated about Sosa's music after working with him in the studio, tweeting at one point, "I did a new joint to night with @chiefkeef he got some heat."

Not one to dwell on the negative, 50 joined Wiz Khalifa onstage Thursday night for his 2050 Tour stop in Vegas. MTV News watched as the rapper born Curtis Jackson surprised the Sin City crowd by rapping along to his 2007 hit "I Get Money."

The concert may have also served as a celebration for 50's new promoting position with his new company, SMS Promotions, which was approved by the Nevada State Athletic Commission with a 5-0 vote at its monthly meeting. The Queens representer initially applied for a license under the TMT umbrella, but after Mayweather did not provide his share of the money he promised to the company, the "New Day" MC reapplied for the license under his own imprint.

The G-Unit general still has to provide the commission with three additional pieces of information to complete his application, but he, along with attorney Leon Margules, promised to provide the outstanding documentation, which includes two years' worth of income tax returns, a financial statement listing the fighters under contract with SMS and a letter stating that assets formerly under TMT's name were moved to SMS, within the week, according to ESPN.

During his hearing with the commission, 50 revealed that he had invested $1.5 million in acquiring fighters after he and Mayweather agreed to promote boxing together and wanted to "move forward" on his own, despite his dissolved business relationship with the boxer.

Tell us what you think of the 50's beef with Chief Keef in the comments!

Less than one week after their reported breakup shocked the world, Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber were spotted spending some time together in L.A.

On Wednesday night, Bieber picked up Gomez from the airport before they headed back over to her house, TMZ reports. The next day they were snapped headed to the Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills, heading into the hotel at separate times. The site further reports that the hangout session came just as Gomez had reportedly blocked Bieber on her cell.

Later on Thursday, they were spotted at the Laugh Factory Comedy Club, where they were photographed leaving the L.A. hotspot at separate times, even though they both arrived in the same van, E! News reports. Bieber is currently in the City of Angels to attend the AMAs this Sunday. Gomez reportedly won't attend the show.

This is not the first time the twosome had been spotted together post split. Days after the news broke, it was rumored that Bieber visited Gomez at her NYC hotel. "I saw Selena go into the hotel around 5:40 p.m. and not even three hours later, Justin went in," a source told Life & Style about the rumored reunion. "I saw him leave around 11 p.m."

Earlier this week, fans weighed in on whether they'd want to see the former lovebirds get back together. Some were against it, but a number of fans wouldn't mind seeing the couple reconcile. "They NEED to get back together!! THEY WERE PERFECT! #sadness," one MTV News reader, Jaela, commented. Salma added, "Yess JELENA FOREVER <3."

Whether or not they do end up back together, they each have projects to keep them busy. Bieber is currently on his Believe tour, while Gomez is prepping a March album release.

Do you think Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez will ever, ever get back together? Leave your comment below!

Robert Pattinson's 'Great Idea' For Vampire Sex

'He wanted to start it up by kissing her neck because that is the classic place where vampires bite humans,' 'Breaking Dawn - Part 2' director Bill Condon tells MTV News.

Much was made of Edward and Bella's headboard-busting sex scene in "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1," but any fan of Stephenie Meyer's source material will tell you that things take an even steamier turn in the bedroom once the mortal transforms into an immortal beloved. After all, now that Bella's basically indestructible, Edward no longer has to fear hurting her while in the throes of passion.

So what went into choreographing the highly anticipated vampire sex scene? We asked director Bill Condon and screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg, and what they told us has us wondering whether isn't actually a bloodsucker.

"None of it was written, so it's all about, for me, you know again, you start with the actors," Condon said. "Rob had a great idea. He wanted to start it up by kissing her neck because that is the classic place where vampires bite humans. So it's a place that he's spent all this time avoiding since the moment he met her. It's really the place he wants to get her, and now he can do it because she's not human anymore. So I thought that was a very cool idea.

"And the other part of it is that they're equal — no one get hurt now, so there's this real sense of the two going at it. Also, it's vamp sex, so we can't even imagine how blissful it is, so there's kind of a hazy, drugged out aspect to it."

Rosenberg, however, had a slightly different perspective on bringing the steamy moment to the screen.

"I always choreograph very specifically on the page," she explained. "That doesn't mean they do it. What is mainly my job is to articulate what the story of the sequence is, what the emotional arc, what story telling point are we trying to get across. So for myself, I have to choreograph on the page. Obviously, Bill Condon takes it, and he does work with the stunt coordinators and works with the actors and they create what they end up doing. As long as they understand what it's about, so I always do a great bit of detail."

"The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2" is in theaters now.

If Mitch Winehouse has a say about it, the father of the late Amy Winehouse, wants to be sure a handsome actor is cast as himself if the biopic about her life comes to the silver screen.

OK! GALLERY: GEORGE CLOONEY & GIRLFRIEND STACY KEIBLER GO FOR MOTORCYCLE RIDE IN ITALY

According to one site, he went out on a limb -- and by that we mean a huge one by saying he wants George Clooney to fill his shoes!

“I dare say … who’s going to play me, George Clooney? I mean they’ve got to get someone good and handsome. But they’ll probably end up with Ray Winstone or someone like that knowing my luck.”

As for who would play Amy, rumors are swirling Lady Gaga will take on the role. Although Mitch seems to be a fan of Mother Monster, he's not completely sold on having her play his daughter in the fllm.

OK! GALLERY: GEORGE CLOONEY, STACY KEIBLER, JULIANNE HOUGH & MORE STARS GO GLITZ & GLAM FOR CAROUSEL OF HOPE BALL

He explained, “I mean Lady Gaga, if she wants to come and audition for it….Her mum says she puts her sneakers on and her tracksuit and sits on the couch and eats chocolates like everyone else. She’s a nice kid and her parents are just ordinary Italian working class people and she loves her mum and dad and she loves her grandparents."

“She’s the same as Amy – she’s a nice kid, very nice young lady," he added.  "She still can’t play Amy though.”

What do you think -- should George take on the father figure role as Mitch? And who exactly should be cast as Amy? Weigh in below!

Man faces charges for stealing actor Tim Allen’s car, claims to be son

Sitcom star Tim Allen with his beloved 1996 Chevy Impala SS during a TV spot several years ago.

A man behind bars in Denver is accused of driving off with some hot wheels — a customized 1996 Chevy Impala SS owned by actor Tim Allen — but claims it’s all a misunderstanding.

Faustino Ibarra, 34, told FOX affiliate KDVR that he’s the “Home Improvement” star’s adopted son and he let the funnyman know that he took the car.

“I emailed Tim, told him everything is fine, the car’s in perfect shape, I’m ready for you to come and get it and talk about me coming to live with you,” the inmate said.

Faustino Ibarra, who was arrested on theft charges, claims to be Tim Allen's adopted son.

Denver police say Ibarra allegedly swiped the vehicle on Thanksgiving Day from Allen, who recently purchased a home in the Hollywood Hills, driving it more than 1,000 miles to Denver. Allen, 59, was born in the Mile-High City, but raised in Michigan.

Ibarra said he didn’t break into Allen’s garage.

“He left the door open and he left me the keys so I could get the car and take it to Denver,” Ibarra told KDVR. His family in Denver saw the black Impala outside their home Friday and called police.

Ibarra was arrested and booked into the Downtown Detention Center on Saturday for theft on an out-of-state offense, jail records show.

Allen’s prized possession was featured in a “Car and Driver” spot on TNN several years ago, when he said he liked rolling up at awards shows in the ride.

“For a while, it was the only car I drove in L.A.,” he said.

The 'Home Improvement' star said he did all the modified work on the car at his home.

A rep for the 59-year-old actor couldn’t be reached for comment, but Denver police told KDVR that Ibarra has allegedly badgered the actor for years and there is no evidence that he was ever adopted by Allen. This time, the suspect may be charged with stalking as well.

“My dad loves the heck out of me,” offered Ibarra, who denied he has mental health issues. “He’s ultra-proud of me and he wants to see the best for me in every way.”

Los Angeles County prosecutors will decide this week whether to extradite Ibarra back to California, KDVR reported Sunday.

One Direction Make Fun Of Each Other's 'Little Things' Swoon Faces

Fivesome opens up about what's going through their minds as they look into the camera.
By Christina Garibaldi

One Direction: The Art Of The Swoon Face
Photo: MTV News

On their video for "Little Things," the guys of One Direction could have gone over-the-top, but they opted for a sleek and simple black-and-white clip that was filmed while the boys were in studio and focused purely on the fivesome and those sweet lyrics that they were crooning to the camera.

When director Vaughan Arnell explained the concept behind his vision for "Little Things" to One Direction, they were immediately on board, and for reasons you might not think of.

"It was real nice for us actually because most of the video shoots we do we have to get an early night before cause we know we are going to be so energetic and jumping around a lot," Harry Styles told MTV News. "And this was kind of nice because we just sat there."

Zayn Malik added, "We had a chilled-out day in the studio, and they filmed us chilling out."

Yet, that doesn't mean the shoot wasn't hard work. It takes a lot of practice to pull off those perfect swoon faces while singing the lyrics that instantly make hearts melt. So what goes through their mind as they are singing their "I love you's" while shooting?

"I think you just get into the song and think about the lyrics and what it means to you," Malik admitted. "You might be looking out at the camera, but you might be thinking about something else. You're not thinking that millions of people are going to watch this, you're just into the song, into the lyrics, you're just feeling what the song is about."

And while they each take turns focusing on the lyrics and perfecting those perfect glances, the other members are paying attention to their every move, and not to pick up some pointers, but to get a good laugh.

"When it's on the screen we take pictures of the screen," Harry Styles said. "We have a really good one, I think I have a picture of Liam."

Liam Payne added, "There's one point in the video where Louis pointed out to me and I didn't realize, but from the angle of the camera ... it looks like I've gone (cross-eyed). The funniest thing is they didn't tell me until they actually cut the video."

Aerosmith's Steven Tyler Predicts Score Of Thanksgiving Game

'The final score will be 90-88,' Tyler says of Patriots Thanksgiving matchup against the Jets.
By James Montgomery

Steven Tyler of Aerosmith
Photo: Douglas Mason

's Steven Tyler makes no attempt to hide his allegiance to the New England Patriots, though given his band's Boston roots, that shouldn't really come as much of a surprise. So when Pepsi came calling, asking Aerosmith to record an anthem for the Pats as part of their NFL Anthems series (Kelly Clarkson, Travie McCoy and Lenny Kravitz are just some of the other artists taking part, supporting their hometown teams with themes), Tyler automatically said "yes."

But what is rather surprising is the route their song, "Legendary Child - Patriots Anthem," took to being involved in the project. Not only did it serve as the lead single off Aerosmith's Music From Another Dimension! album, but, as it turns out, it's existed as a part of their arsenal for nearly 20 years ... albeit never as a fully formed song.

"'Legendary Child' was a little ditty that didn't make it on some other album, and I didn't write lyrics that I liked yet," Tyler told MTV News. "A lot of of songs we've done are licks that we wrote on tour, and didn't put down on tape until we got to a studio years ago ... it's a song that's had several different incarnations, but we finally wrote it the way we liked it.

"The lick is so severe, what Joe [Perry] wrote was so nuts that, when the NFL asked me to write something, it was so ridiculous, it just worked," he continued. "And the Patriots are our team; so I sat down with Joe and we wrote some pretty cool lyrics; we went down to the studio and we nailed it."

Tyler said it wasn't much of a challenge adapting the song's lyrics for the Patriots — "We just wrote it and I went 'F---, we nailed it," he laughed — though he did admit that there was some added pressure to writing an anthem for his team. Namely, he didn't want to jinx them in any way.

"I remember when [Patriots owner] Robert Kraft called me up and said 'Steven, my wife just passed away and she wanted you to sing, I'll send my plane,' I've said 'I'm there,'" Tyler said. "And he did, and I sang, and they won. And they're one of those teams where I dread the thought of ever singing and they lose, because I am a bit superstitious, but I love it when it goes my way."

And, since he's a die-hard Pats fan, we couldn't help but ask him for his take on the team's Thanksgiving-night matchup against the New York Jets. Not surprisingly, he's expecting the Patriots to win ... though his prediction of the final score might shock some.

"This will be the closest score ever imagined, but the Patriots are going to win," he said. "The final score will be 90-88."

Building Sounds for ‘Killing Them Softly’

THE struggle to win in a nation consumed by loss is one of the themes at the center of “Killing Them Softly” (due Nov. 30 from the Weinstein Company), a crime drama set during the 2008 election season, as the economic crisis is unfolding. Presidential addresses and campaign speeches play on television sets in the background throughout a movie in which sound is used in uncharacteristic ways to augment the narrative.

Directed by Andrew Dominik (“The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford”) and adapted from the George V. Higgins novel “Cogan’s Trade,” the film is populated by small-time gangsters (including Scoot McNairy and Ben Mendelsohn in a cast that also includes Brad Pitt, James Gandolfini and Ray Liotta) who dream grandly but don’t always proceed wisely.

“Crime stories, to some extent, always felt like the capitalist ideal in motion,” Mr. Dominik said recently, speaking by phone from Los Angeles. “Because it’s the one genre where it’s perfectly acceptable for the characters to be motivated solely by money.”

A holdup at a mob-run card game creates tension and unease in the crime world, and an enforcer, Jackie Cogan (Mr. Pitt), is called in to restore order. This leads to takedowns, showdowns and one particular beat-down that has a stronger sting of brutality, primarily because every punch, smack, grunt and plea is precisely engineered.

In that scene, Markie Trattman (Mr. Liotta) is suspected of organizing the holdup. He is taken to an empty parking lot by two other gangsters (Trevor Long and Max Casella), and put through a savage interrogation. Here Mr. Dominik and the sound mixer, Leslie Shatz, discuss their ideas for the audio, including how flash bulbs, squeegees and Norman Mailer worked their way into a beating sequence. A multimedia feature including audio clips from the scene can be seen and heard here.

THE LOCATION Setting the scene in a parking lot with empty stores emphasized the recession-era time period, evoked not just by a “Going Out of Business” sign in a store window, but also by periodic news reports on TV and radio throughout the movie. But it also lent a sense of dread. “You see fight scenes a lot” in movies, Mr. Dominik said. “But you don’t see people systematically beating somebody else. The idea was just to make it really, really, really ugly.” He and his crew shot in New Orleans and had several abandoned shopping malls to choose from. “When we were on location scouts, we’d find out the next day that the place we looked at, there was a murder committed there hours after we’d been there,” Mr. Dominik said. The sequence has no music, just dialogue and sound effects. “What I prefer to do in films is not to use music as underscore,” he said. “If you’re dealing with movies that have a lot of ambivalence about them, music can take away so many layers of a thing.” Instead he uses sound to stir emotions that music often provokes.

THE CAR At the start of the scene Markie is ordered to get out of the car, and he reluctantly complies, knowing what’s coming next. During the beating he makes direct contact with the car, whether slamming against it or sliding down the side of it. Those sounds were made during the Foley process, in which the mixer records sounds in time with the movie footage. “In our Foley studio we have pieces of a car,” Mr. Shatz said, speaking by phone from Wildfire Post, his studio in Los Angeles. “So we will watch the movie and start banging on the car until we get the proper sound.” For a moment when Mr. Liotta’s character slides across the car they used audio of a squeegee across a windshield to achieve the effect. Another form of transportation, a train, also becomes significant, and its loud rush is used to bring the action to a climax.

THE PUNCHES Mr. Dominik and Mr. Shatz experimented with several techniques while developing the punching sounds in the scene. “You always try to make a punch that feels right,” Mr. Dominik said, “because if your punches are too big, they don’t seem real. But if they’re too small, they don’t feel violent.” In some of the hits they used the sound of flash bulbs, which provide a kind of tingly aftereffect. They also occasionally muted all the other sound at moments of fist impact and mixed the dialogue into multiple channels, with discrete sounds coming from different directions, forcing the moviegoer to experience the moment more intimately. Also Mr. Shatz drew on an unlikely source: Norman Mailer. When Mailer directed the 1987 film version of his novel “Tough Guys Don’t Dance,” he was unhappy with the way punches sounded in movies. So he suggested that Mr. Shatz record Mailer hitting himself. Those self-inflicted punches, in a recycled and modified form, became part of the punch audio for this scene.

THE RAIN Pounding and punishing, rain is heard in different ways and from different perspectives throughout the scene: as it hits the asphalt and the roof of the car and as it splashes on the faces of the actors. “Rain is one of those movie conventions where, if you really listen to what it sounds like when it’s raining, you can’t use that in a movie: it’s too light and indistinct.” Mr. Shatz said. “I have this recording of pouring water onto concrete, just splatting. It’s a very hard kind of sound.” That sound was looped (repeated into a sustained texture) and, when matched to the layers of sounds, became a discomforting underscore to the grisly proceedings. For the rain hitting the car Mr. Shatz used looped audio of water being poured onto metal. Also mixed in are rumbling thunder sounds. Mr. Dominik and Mr. Shatz also used a process called “worldizing,” in which they would take sounds, play them back in different environments, record the slightly altered versions and then switch between them to create an ambience.

Robert Pattinson And Kristen Stewart Touch Down In The States After A London Thanksgiving!

robert-pattinson-kristen-stewart-jfk-airport-thanksgiving-london

After seemingly endless promotional duties for the release of Breaking Dawn - Part 2, Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart are still together!

And now, they're back in the States!

The famous pair arrived at JFK airport Friday after reportedly spending their Thanksgiving across the pond in London with R-Patz's family, and as you can see (above), they look put together but understandably jet-lagged!

Then again, our KStew does look a little grumpy!

Perhaps having to face the family members of the man you cheated on over the summer with your director made this trip more than its share of uncomfortable!

But hey! They're still standing strong, so we have a feeling that even if there were a little awkwardness, it's all been resolved!

Here's hoping it can stay that way from here on out!

The '90s Reunion Tour Takes a Hit: No Reunion With Kenan Thompson, Says Kel Mitchell

Remember how excited we were when we brought you news about a possible Boy Meets World sequel series that would reunite, at the very least, Ben Savage and Danielle Fishel? Our '90s-loving hearts were bursting with happiness. We wish we could have the same reaction to the most recent news about another popular '90s duo, Kenan Thompson and Kel Mitchell — but alas, life is not fair.

Kenan has starred on Saturday Night Live since 2003, but before that fans knew him has one half of Kenan and Kel. The two began on Nickelodeon's All That and then went on to have their own show, Kenan & Kel, as well as star in a feature film, Good Burger. As in, "Welcome to Good Burger, home of the Good Burger, can I take your order?" We had to.

Kel has recently stated that his old pal is "actively avoiding" him.

"The truth is, Kenan does not want to be seen with me in any form of media, or even have my name mentioned around him," Kel said. He further stated that he doesn't hold a grudge about it, and doesn't blame Kenan for wanting to make a name for himself.

Um. We're pretty sure Kenan has already had almost ten years away from Kel to do just that. We really hope there is some kind of misunderstanding here. In any case, we wouldn't advise holding your breath for yet another '90s throwback. Instead, we'll just cry into our orange soda and wish things turned out differently.

Grant Bowler is Richard Burton to LIndsay Lohan's Elizabeth Taylor

It turns out Lindsay Lohan had a lot more in common with Elizabeth Taylor than anyone could imagine, her latest co-star told the Daily News.

Grant Bowler, 44, plays Richard Burton in “Liz & Dick,” a new Lifetime movie that debuts Nov. 25 and explores the epic romance between Bowler’s Burton and Lindsay Lohan’s Elizabeth Taylor.

“Lindsay was a child star, the same as Liz Taylor, so I think there were many similarities between them,” Bowler says. “And in a real way I think that enhanced the film.

“Liz grew up in that movie-star world, and that’s all she knew. She just accepted that’s how her world was, and she didn’t care at all what anyone thought about it, or said about her.

“It’s a world that’s so different from the one most of us know — and Lindsay had that understanding from the very start.

“I actually studied her every day. Most of what I learned about that world, I got just from watching her. So I think it worked out very well for the film.”

Promoting the movie has been a different story.

LiLo bailed on a promised interview with Barbara Walters, opting to appear on “Good Morning America.” And when she was asked questions about her troubled personal life — troubled insomuch as Taylor’s was — she ducked them.

Bowler, on the other hand, comes from a background much closer to Dick’s than to Liz’s.

He first met Richard Burton, or at least Richard Burton’s voice, when he was a lad growing up in Australia.

“We had a recording of ‘War of the Worlds,’ ” Bowler says. “It wasn’t on television or anything, just on a record. And Richard Burton did the reading.

“I listened to that record over and over until I think I could have narrated the whole story myself.”

So Bowler didn’t come cold to playing the part of the film legend, but once he took the role, Bowler says he did find a number of complexities beneath Burton’s rich, commanding voice.

“I think at heart he always remained very closely attuned to the small Welsh village where he grew up,” says Bowler. “Yet at the same time, when he was with Elizabeth, one of the things they had in common was that they both wanted to live as large a life as possible.

“I mean, think about it. Here’s a kid from a very modest home, who didn’t even speak English until he was 8 or 9 because everyone in the house spoke Welsh, and he grows up to find himself living on a yacht with the most famous woman in the world.”

A little whiplash, perhaps?

In one scene from “Liz & Dick,” Liz complains about the inconvenience of traveling and Burton impulsively buys them a plane.

“When we filmed that scene,” says Bowler, “I was literally jumping up and down. I was so giddy at the thought of owning your own airplane.

“I don’t think Elizabeth felt that way. I think she just felt that whatever she got, she deserved. But I suspect Burton probably felt much more as I did.”

Taylor’s sense of entitlement becomes one of the central themes of the film, interwoven with a line she and he both repeat several times — that she always wants “more.”

“And that’s what he always wanted to give her,” says Bowler. “He was delighted that he could buy her large diamonds. And remember, they really did have almost unlimited resources. Any time they needed more money, they could just agree to make another film. .

“But I think that was also part of the reason their relationship was doomed, because you can’t build something lasting on the idea of ‘more.’ Eventually it’s going to fizzle out.”

Before that happens, however, the passion boils hot enough to scald everything and everyone around them, and Bowler agrees it was critical that passion also be conveyed.

“Fortunately, the chemistry [between himself and Lohan] was there from the beginning,” he says. “It’s not something you can really predict, because there are people who have wonderful chemistry in real life and none on the screen. There are plenty of examples of that in the movies.

“But in this case, it was there, which was great.”

And Bowler knows chemistry.

He has done a lot of work on Australian TV, both as an actor and as a reality show host.

In the U.S. he’s had recurring roles on “True Blood,” as the vampire Cooter, and on “Ugly Betty” as a corrupt CEO.

He played Hank Rearden last year in the first of a planned three-movie adaptation of Ayn Rand’s “Atlas Shrugged.”

But playing Burton, he says, has been a highlight.

“My favorite shooting day in the whole picture was the scene where I got to do his Hamlet,” Bowler says. “That’s one I’ll treasure forever.”
