If anyone has an appreciation for the Jersey Shore, of course it's the sun-worshipping, boardwalk-shenanigans-loving cast of MTV's "Jersey Shore." But to castmember Vinny Guadagnino, it's much more than that.
"It's not about a show, it's not about an amusement park, it's not about a roller coaster, it's not about a bar and drinking and having a good time and a party," he said ahead of Thursday night's "Restore the Shore" telethon. "This town is about families, it's about little kids, teenagers, people, business owners, jobs, that all lost everything. Please help them."
"Restore The Shore" aired live from MTV's Times Square Studio and featured appearances by the cast of "Jersey Shore," Kim Kardashian, Mac Miller, and One Direction, and performances from Gym Class Heroes and Phillip Phillips.
You watched the benefit live and texted your donation, but you didn't see the hallways jammed with "Teen Wolf," "Awkward" and "Real Housewife" stars rubbing shoulders, mixing up and making friends. So we've got the scoop right here.

Snooki bonded with "Real Housewives of New Jersey" star Melissa Gorga over Snooks' baby meatball, Lorenzo backstage. Snooki and fiancé Jionni were even overheard making dinner plans with Melissa and her husband, Joe!
Although Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino couldn't join his fellow castmates, he tweeted his support for "Restore the Shore": "Even though I'm far away my heart is with everyone in NJ. Text SHORE to 85944 to help rebuild Seaside & #restoretheshore." But there was a much-appreciated appearance by the infamous Uncle Nino, who we're not surprised to hear was the life of the party.
The support for the Shore extended far beyond Jersey natives. "Teen Mom" stars Maci Bookout and Catelynn Lowell looked gorgeous rallying for Jersey in Times Square, but Bookout also sent out a personalized message to "Teen Mom" viewers, urging them to give to the cause. Bookout called the Jersey Shore "such a huge place for America," while Lowell tweeted from the phone bank, "This footage of snooki seeing the devastation is soooooooo sad!!!!!"
The ladies of "The Challenge" explain why they pitched in to help "Restore the Shore."
Tyler Posey and Dylan O'Brien of "Teen Wolf" also made an appearance, singing '80s power ballads in the hallway before the show to get amped up. O'Brien, who was born and raised in New Jersey, said of the coastline's destruction, "It's a gnarly thing. Seeing the roller coaster in the ocean, it was the scariest thing."
You can still help "Restore the Shore" by texting SHORE to 85944 to make a $10 donation.
