'That's My Boy' A 'Throwback' To Early Adam Sandler

'Adam Sandler has always been one of my comedy idols, so to get to work with him was really fun,' Will Forte tells MTV News.

No matter what you thought about Adam Sandler's last few zany comedies, there are more than a few reasons to be excited about his next release, "That's My Boy."

First, it's Sandler's first-ever R-rated comedy. Second, it features a cast of former and current "SNL" players like Andy Samberg and Will Forte, as well as James Caan and Vanilla Ice. And third, the outrageous plot revolves around a deadbeat father (Sandler) who attempts to reconnect with his long-lost son (Samberg) on the week of his wedding.

MTV News recently caught up with funnyman Forte to find out all about the on-set antics, Sandler's genius abilities in the art of swearing, how awesome Vanilla Ice is in the film and if we'll ever see a "MacGruber" sequel.

MTV News: In looking at the cast and concept of this film, it seems as though you probably had a lot of fun on set.

Will Forte: It was a ton of fun. I've always watched Sandler movies and thought, "Oh my God, that looks like it would be so much fun." They're always in Hawaii or some glamorous setting, and it really is as much fun as you would think it would be. It was like going to summer camp for this. Everyone was so cool. He's such a loyal and good person. He always works with the same people on the crew, so it's a real family-like atmosphere.

MTV: How does your character fit into the mix?

Forte: I play this guy named Bill, and he is Andy's best man. I don't really know Andy that well, so you find out later when Adam comes to find Andy on his wedding weekend, I give up my best-man duties to Adam. It's definitely not a straight man; he's kind of a weirdo. It's a fun character. There's a mix of different types of characters in there. I'm one of the ones who gets to have a lot of fun and be an idiot.

MTV: How does the R rating enhance the fun factor?

Forte: It's a completely different situation. There is so much going on in this movie. It's a really fun movie. Adam Sandler has always been one of my comedy idols, so to get to work with him was really fun, and to add into that the R-rated part of this movie, it was so fun. There are very few people who can swear with the style and enunciation of Adam. He just hits them just right. It was so much fun. This movie feels like a throwback to some of the earlier Sandler movies, with the addition of swearing. I cannot tell you how fun this experience was. I feel like when you watch the movie, you can tell how much fun we had.

MTV: How was it working with Vanilla Ice?

Forte: I got to hang out with Vanilla Ice quite a bit. It was awesome. He is so different than I thought he would be. He's this very sweet and loving person, just kind of normal for Vanilla Ice, if that makes sense. He's this wonderful, warm person, but still the Vanilla Ice you want to see. He doesn't disappoint you in not being Vanilla Ice-y enough. He's an awesome guy.

MTV: You have a lot of things on your plate in addition to this movie, like "Rock of Ages," the comedy pilot "Rebounding." What are the odds we'll ever see a "MacGruber" sequel?

Forte: We would love to do a "MacGruber" sequel! I don't know if anyone with any money would love us to do a "MacGruber" sequel, but we talk about it all the time, and we might even — to just get it out of our heads — we might sit down and write a second one. If we could somehow talk somebody into putting some money up for it [that would be great]. We're so proud of that movie and had so much fun doing it. There is no serious talk about making a "MacGruber" sequel, but there's some non-serious talk about it. A couple of the people who were a part of it sit around and get drunk and talk about it; that's the level of talk.

"That's My Boy" opens everywhere June 15.

It's Summer Movie Preview Week, and MTV News will be bringing you exclusive interviews, clips and photos for the most anticipated summer movies. Get ready to gorge on inside looks at "The Avengers," Robert Pattinson's "Bel Ami," Kristen Stewart's "Snow White," "The Amazing Spider-Man" and more!

The Loveable Rogues wow Britain's Got Talent judges with their cheeky charm

After a difficult week off the camera Simon Cowell got back to his day job as a Britain's Got Talent judge.

The X Factor mogul opened the show by saying this year he thinks he will find the biggest ever star.

That act may just be The Loveable Rogues, who wowed the judges at the Cardiff auditions.

The Loveable Rogues took nervously to the stage but gave a confident rendition with one guitar, one ukelele and soft vocals with honest lyrics.

The next big thing: The Loveable Rogues were a massive hit on tonight's show and won over the judges

The crowd were won over instantly by the trio's cheeky charm and even Simon warmed to them by the end of their set.

Alesha Dixon said: 'Your personalities are just shining in abundance, I think you're my favourite act so far.'

Simon said: 'It was like listening to a Madness track again. And you look good. You look really good'

They received three thumbs up from and David added that he would buy their single tomorrow if it was available.

Earlier in the show 12-year-old Lauren Thalia, who after playing the guitar for two years, believed she was capable of winning the competition.

The judges were pleasantly surprised when she strummed an acoustic version of Turn Your Swagger On, that had the audience clapping in time with the music.

With a standing ovation from the audience and Carmen Electra, the 12-year-old beamed a huge smile.

Judge Carmen, who filled in for Amanda Holden after she had her baby, told her: 'Britain really does have talent, girl you rocked. You sang such a gangster song.'

Simon said: 'I like it when kids your age choose the song. I like the fact that your guitar was too big for you. And because your posh and you're talking about swag made it even better'.

With all four judges saying 'yes', Thalia was sent through to the next round.

French stunt group Cascade impressed both the judges and the audience with their toned bodies before they even began their act.

As the gang of men kicked, punched and fought their way through a difficult routine that included dancing and stripping of shirts, Amanda Holden and Alesha Dixon smiled with delight.

David Walliams said: 'That was tres bon', and Simon added 'it was absolutely amazing.'

Amanda was left swooning over one of the contestants, Alexandra, telling him: 'You are like a French Tom Cruise. It was amazing.'

The martial artists sailed through to the next round with all the judges telling them they were incredible to watch.

Medical secretary-turned-impressionist Marea Smithson baffled the judges with her routine after Simon had been certain she would be 'awful'.

He completely changed his opinion after watching her impersonate Ann Widdecombe and Anne Robinson and said: 'You're really really talented Marea.'

Amanda, David, and Alesha all agreed in unison that she was worthy of making it to the next round despite having some confidence issues.

Ballroom and Latin dancers Kai and Natalia shimmied onto stage and having been partners for two years they wanted to show that ballroom dancing was cool.

Former Strictly Come Dancing champion Alesha was particularly impressed with the couples slick moves and sensual chemistry.

She said: 'You're fantastic dancers, you really are.

Simon was even more enthusiastic about them and said: 'I've just got a real feeling about you that you're going to make something of your lives,' before sending them into the next round.

Royal Britannia inspired: Dance troupe Karizma Krew, aged 13 to 39, left the judges divided

Dance group Charisma Crew entered wearing patriotic union flag jackets and the Essex based friends left most the judges speechless.

Alesha said: 'I loved all the music changes, I really enjoyed it.'

But Simon wasn't impressed by the leader of the group and said: 'I feel that you've done this to create a platform for yourself.'

Whilst Alesha, David, and Amanda, all said yes, the X Factor creator said no, but Charisma Crew went through anyway.

Katie Mittell again split the judges and while they all said she had talent, Cowell told her that her image was 'terrible' and she needed to change it.

Simon's mood lifted slightly when he began flirting with a contestant, in the form of sexy senorita Chica Latina.

The hairdresser, 43, from Leamington Spa, originally Columbia, sang for the judges, telling the camera beforehand she was looking to impress Simon.

'I love Simon, I think he’s a power man, I think he needs Chica Latina,' she said.

He told her: 'You’re a little minx aren’t you... You have a very naughty face.'

David then asked if she was single, to which Chica replied: 'I’m not single Simon.'

Simon the said: 'Ah, what a shame, but you’re quite flirtatious aren’t you?'

She quipped: 'I am, I am with you.'

He continued: 'You know how to move don’t you. You know how to use those hips... I suppose that’s part of your charm actually as you are completely Spanish, like an orange.'

The other judges agreed and David said: 'We have found a new diva. We’ve had people who are slightly better singers, just slightly but you were having fun so we were having fun. I mean Simon was even smiling at one point, a little bit of the darkness came out of him for just a second.'

Despite not being a strong singer all the judges said 'yes' and sent her through to the next round.

Sinitta hits out at 'lies' in Simon Cowell biography

Upset: Eighties singer Sinitta, pictured at the London premiere of Titanic 3D last month, is furious with Tom Bower's biography of her ex Simon Cowell

A furious Sinitta has angrily hit out at Tom Bower's biography of her ex-boyfriend Simon Cowell, claiming the tome is full of 'lies'.

After a string of revelations in the newspapers this week, the 80s pop star finally got her hands on a copy of the book when it hit shelves yesterday.

And given her Twitter activity last night, the 45-year-old is unhappy with what she has read so far.

Although she doesn't point out exactly what she has read that has upset her, she denies claims in the book that Cowell uses black toilet paper.

Sinitta famously dated Cowell in the early 1980s, but the pair have remained close friends since their split.

Bower's book, which was serialised in a tabloid this week, claims Sinitta originally dated Cowell's younger brother Nick.

The bio goes on to claim she even went on a family holiday with the Cowells.

Soon after, she asked Simon to help her with her music career and they started dating.

But their relationship ended up ending because they became bored with each other, according to Bower.

After reading a third of the book, Sinitta said she found some of the content 'hurtful' and 'mean'.

She wrote: 'A lie detector and a Bible will prove a lot of this nonsense is rubbish, I'm willing to stand up to this B.S. I've finally had enough!'

She accused Bower of getting facts 'so wrong', and hoped she would get the chance to 'clear up the inaccuracies'.

She tweeted: '...Its hurtful and mean and not true.

'We ALL deserve to clear some things up... I can't even believe some of the lies.

'Not happy so far... only a 3rd of it so far.

'Glad I am not gagged and can clear up the inaccuracies in Tom Bowers book. The real facts are even documented how did he get them so wrong?!'

When one Twitter follower asked her directly about reports Cowell spends £10-a-roll on black toilet paper, she replied: 'No,that's true.'

Tell-all: Tom Bower's book Sweet Revenge: The Intimate Life Of Simon Cowell hit stores yesterday

Tell-all: Tom Bower's book Sweet Revenge: The Intimate Life Of Simon Cowell hit stores yesterday

In his book, Sweet Revenge: The Intimate Life Of Simon Cowell, Bower said Sinitta wasn't the only time the Cowell brothers had dated the same woman - he claims the music mogul dated Page 3 girl Vanya Seager after Nicholas did.

He wrote: 'The brothers enjoyed swapping girlfriends.'

Despite their romance not lasting long, Sinitta has always remained close to Simon and regularly appeared alongside him on The X Factor UK.

Sinitta and her two children often holiday with the Britain's Got Talent judge in the Caribbean.

Bower was introduced to Cowell's inner circle during a recent cruise in the Caribbean, but Sinitta was under strict instructions not to talk to him.

Cowell did give Bower permission to speak to his elderly mother Julie for five hours.

Sinitta has said she promised Simon not to speak to Bower, who had told her not to in front of the investigative journalist while holidaying on his superyacht.

She said earlier this week: 'For the record I gave a verbal agreement NOT to contribute to Tom Bower book and kept my word.'

Last week, Simon spoke of his 'embarrassment' over some of the revelations in the book.

Speaking to TMZ Live, Cowell says he feels 'not gentlemanly at all' as details of the yet-to-be released book - Sweet Revenge: The Intimate Life of Simon Cowell - hit the headlines.

The 52-year-old star insists it is not his style to 'kiss and tell' but said: 'When you are with someone for a long time, they do get stuff out of you.'

Cowell says he decided to let Bower have personal access to him after taking advice from his pal Bernie Ecclestone, who was also the subject of an unauthorised Bower book.

21 Jump Street

“21 Jump Street” is a comedy based on the late 80’s TV show of the same name. However, name and concept are about the only things the show and the movie have in common.  It tells the tale of two young cops, Schmidt and Jenko, who both had unsatisfying high-school experiences. We get a glimpse of the guys in their own high school daze. Schmidt the nerd with bleached hair and braces, Jenko the cool jock with failing grades. The two reconnect during their cop training days, this time joining forces so Schmidt can pass the physical stuff and Jenko the written exams. The boys are sent back to high school disguised as students to catch bad guys trying to corrupt kids. As they trade in their guns and badges for backpacks, Schmidt and Jenko risk their lives to investigate a violent and dangerous drug ring. They end up finding that high school is nothing like they left it just a few years earlier. Neither expects that they will have to confront the terror and anxiety of being a teenager again and all the issues they thought they had left behind.

The film seems to be very self-aware, commenting on the trends and tropes of today’s society and entertainment. The film is a likeable comedy that succeeds in large part due to the chemistry between its leads, but the majority of the humor is crude, vulgar, or based on shock-value, earning the movie’s R rating.

Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez's reunion interrupted by young fan as they pose for pictures at Lakers game

By Georgina Littlejohn and Amelia Proud

They've not seen each other for a couple of weeks and looked completely wrapped up in each other as they were reunited for a date night at the basketball.

But Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber's courtside smooching was interrupted when a young fan asked them for a photograph.

And the young celebrities were only too happy to oblige as the high-fived the cute little lady and posed for a snap.
Scroll down to watch Justin's video teaser...

But the couple only had eyes for each other during the rest of the game and although they've only been apart for a couple of weeks, a fortnight is clearly a very long time in a teenager's heart.

Because the young lovers looked as though they'd been separated for about a year when they were reunited yesterday.

And they made sure the world could see just how happy they were to see each other as they kissed and rubbed noses much to the delight of their fellow Lakers fans.

And they were joined at the game by actress Charlize Theron who brought her mother along with her, and Salma Hayek.

They have both been very busy with work commitments as he promotes his new single Boyfriend while she has been busy filming scenes for her new movie Spring Breakers in Florida.
