Take a big sigh, everybody. Another season of "The X Factor" is over. But when the show returns next season, don't expect it to look the same.
L.A. Reid has already confirmed he will not appear on the show's third season. And when MTV News caught up with Demi Lovato, she also admitted she wasn't sure about her future with the show.
"I have no idea what's gonna happen next season," she said. "And I don't think anybody does."
While she neither confirmed nor denied whether she'd continue to be a mentor on the show, she did note that she has another job that she would like to focus on. "It's just crazy 'cause at the same time, just like L.A. is, I'm trying to build a career for my own too," the singer told us. "It was an amazing experience and I loved doing this show. It's just, there's no way to tell. I have no idea."

The "X Factor" season finale capped off a busy year for Lovato. Riding high off her 2011 album release, Unbroken, the singer topped the charts with her single "Give Your Heart a Break," won a VMA Moonman back in September and went on an impressive summer tour ahead of taking her place alongside Reid, Simon Cowell and Britney Spears as a mentor on the show.
Regardless of what she does decide to do, "X Factor" will be back for a third season. And earlier this week, Spears opened up about her time on the show but also didn't comment on whether she'd be back for season three.
"It's been even better for me, the whole experience," Britney said. "It's opened me up to so many different things and just how many gifted people that are out there. It's been a really special experience for me."
