Big Sean Reveals His Early Detroit Dreams In New Vlog Series

A little imagination goes a long way, just ask Big Sean. As the Detroit MC is gearing up for the December 18 release of his Hall of FameLP, Sean is rolling out a new video blog series, with each episode he focusing on different topics. The first: Imagination.

"Imagination. How many people you know — I mean for real know, made it, got on," Sean asks to set up Thursday night's YouTube clip. "Nobody from my city. Detroit? Hell naw, I ain't know Eminem. I don't know nobody who did."

The three-minute vid, narrated by Sean, shows the G.O.O.D. Music rap star performing shows, in the studio and posing for pictures with his famous rap homeys like Kanye West and 2 Chainz.

"I grew up watching Biggie, Ma$e. I wanted a Rollie like 'Pac, feel me? I wanted money like Master P," the "My Last" spitter said before revealing his dreams of putting his city on and starting his own label like Jay-Z's former Roc-A-Fella Records. "I knew I was gonna make it; I just ain't know how."

There's no question that Sean is one hell of a rap talent, but it took a little more to put his dreams into play, and even in the face of naysayers, he persevered. "It all starts with a vision, what you can imagine you can create," he said in the clip. "The people who used to tell me I was wasting my time or said it wouldn't work out were the people who didn't have sh--. They didn't have nothin'."

Now Sean has a high-selling debut and a hotly anticipated follow-up on the way. Last week, on October 26, he released "Guap,"the big money first single off of Hall of Fame. No telling what Big Sean's imagination will yield next.
