It's been some time since Gucci Mane and Young Jeezy went at it, and though the two Atlanta rappers seemed to have quelled their beef, the subject came up again when Gucc appeared on Power 105's Breakfast Club radio show in New York on Wednesday (October 10).
At first the 1017 Brick Squad spitter said all the right things, noting how he went to the Snowman and T.I.'s birthday two weeks ago without incident, but after show hosts Angela Yee, DJ Envy and Charlamagne asked Gucci for his thoughts on the Jeezy and Ross scuffle backstage at the 2012 BET Hip-Hop Awards. "Ross is a friend of mine, of course Jeezy is not, so I don't care nothin' about what happened to him," Gucci said bluntly.
The two first collaborated on Gucci's 2005 track "Icy," but their relationship soon soured. Gucci even tried to implicate Jeezy in a conspiracy to have him killed. So when Charlamagne referred to both the MCs as "Atlanta legends" on Wednesday, Gucc immediately objected. "I'm a legend. I wouldn't say it, ain't nobody a legend. Send somebody to kill me, you think I'ma call you a legend? What's a legend about that," he questioned.
Back in December 2009, DJ Drama orchestrated a truce between the two warring artists, but Gucci alluded that it was all for show. "I'm not a fan of anybody music who I feel like a sucka. I don't listen to you," he said. "They play you in the club, you can have the #1 jam, but if I know your character, how can I listen to your music?"
