Argo is a true story about the 6 American who escaped the US Embassy in Iran just as the Iranian Revolution begins to take place in 1979. CIA ‘exfiltration’ specialist, Ben Affleck, concocts a risky plan to free the 6 Americans who have found shelter at the home of the Canadian ambassador. While American saw that the Iranians were getting closer to raiding the embassy, every single document was shredded to try and erase all classified documents. In order to find the missing Americans, sweatshop children carefully pieced the shredded pictures together of every officer working for the Embassy. Through this process they found images of the 6 Americans that escaped. It is believed that the Americans are hiding at the Canadian Embassy, but there is no proof. Time is running out before these individuals images will be discovered. This movie is very well put together and even receiving Oscar buzz. Ben Affleck is not only the lead, but served as an executive producer and director. Even during some of the intense scenes, a comedic line would come up relieving the audience from intense scenes. This is a fantastic file and one that should not be missed.
