You know that feeling you get when you look back at a period of time in your life and get nostalgic? Imagine what that's like for Gwen Stefani.

The No Doubt frontwoman recently visited a UK talk show, and she reflected on her experiences with the band she joined in 1986. No Doubt wouldn't become a household name until almost ten years later, when Tragic Kingdom dropped in 1995.

"Sometimes I don't know what was better, the time before we had the commercial success or afterwards? That first ten years was amazing, it was super fun," Gwen said. "We were so young and we weren't doing it for any other reason other than it was the fun part of our lives."

No Doubt went on hiatus after a tour in 2004, but they just released a new album, Push and Shove, which was promoted with a live (really live) performance at the Teen Choice Awards last summer.

Gwen also dished about the solo work she completed while No Doubt was on a break.

"I was doing it more like an art project, it kind of spiralled out of control as far as what it turned into, it was supposed to be like your guilty pleasure album, like a fun thing," she smiled. "Dance songs don't have a real deep meaning? I am not putting my whole life on display."
