Although the three lead actors in "The Perks of Being a Wallflower" have plenty of things in common and formed a fierce friends-in-real-life bond during filming, there is one thing that separated British actress Emma Watson from her co-stars Ezra Miller and Logan Lerman. It's one generic aspect of living and growing up in America that Watson just can't wrap her head around: The Olive Garden.

"The Olive Garden. I was very confused about the Olive Garden," Watson admitted during "MTV First: The Perks of Being a Wallflower." "I did not know. I had no idea if it was a restaurant or what."

The revelation delighted her co-stars and had them coming up with creative interpretations of what the name of the popular Italian chain restaurant might indicate to people who aren't familiar with it.

"It was like a secret garden, full of olives!" Miller offered.

"It's the Olive Garden," Lerman said.

"Yeah, you must seek it, you must go to the center of the world," Miller added. "Oils of olives and all the olives we know, they come from there."

"All right, I'm going to stop you right there," Watson said. "We very much had to ask these guys [Miller and Lerman], and they thought it was hilarious, because I'm so naive about these things. They still haven't told me," she joked, adding that her co-stars had the obvious advantage in understanding American high school subcultures. "These guys had had their own personal experiences, they [grew up here], and I arrived in my panicky way, kind of stressed out, and these guys had to tell me, 'It's OK, Emma, it's going to be fine.' "

It was later revealed that Watson's confusion about the Olive Garden stemmed from her inclusion in a popular MTV News segment from a few years ago called "American Talk," in which the very first phrase she was asked to read in an American accent was "The Olive Garden."
