The boardwalk is still abuzz with the news of JWoww's engagement to Roger Mathews.
"We are happy to confirm that the In Touch Weekly news is true: We are officially engaged and look forward to this next chapter in our lives!" JWoww (a.k.a. Jenni Farley) and Roger told MTV in a statement on Wednesday (September 26). "Thank you to all of our fans for their well wishes. We hope they find love at the Shore too!"
The couple had been dating for two-and-a-half years before deciding to make it official — during a skydiving session. Roger's adventurous proposal left JWoww shocked but also showing off a five-carat sparkler that Mathews spent months helping to create.
MTV also shared in the "Jersey Shore" stars' big news: "We offer our best wishes and a huge congratulations to Jenni and Roger on the news of their engagement. After seeing the ring, all we can say is 'JWOWW.' "
Of course, JWoww's "Shore" housemates were equally ecstatic about the upcoming nuptials, including Snooki, who was the first person she called with her engagement news. The new mom to baby Lorenzo took time out to congratulate her bestie and "Snooki &JWOWW" co-star. "@JENNIWOWW CONGRATS on the engagement boo!," Snooki tweeted. "Love you so much."
Vinny Guadagnino added, "Congrats to my big sis @JENNIWOWW and Roger on their engagement !!"
Castmate DJ Pauly D got in on the action, too, expressing his joy for the soon-to-be Mr. & Mrs. Mathews. "Congrats !!!!! @RogerMathewsNJ @JENNIWOWW I Just Herd The News !!!!," he tweeted. "They Grow Up So Fast :)"
But soon after that tweet, Pauly came to the realization that Jenni's new status meant he was the only one in the shore house not in a relationship.
"Hmmm Its Official Im The Only Single One Left .... Now Accepting Applications#SeriousInquiresOnly," he wrote. (Something tells us Pauly won't have any trouble finding applicants for that job.)
Yet the well-wishes didn't stop there. Sammi also posted her congrats, saying she "couldn't be more happy" for Jenni and Roger. But Sammi better watch out, because Mathews confessed via Twitter that her boyfriend and fellow "Jersey Shore" castmember, Ronnie, was actually the first person he asked to marry.
"@MTVRonnie said no to me 4 times so I cut my losses and asked jenni cause my biological clock is ticking," Mathews joked.
