He's already shown off his can't-miss skills on the basketball court, and now, one minor league hockey team is banking that Justin Bieber also has some killer skills on the ice.

The Bakersfield Condors, a minor league team in the National Hockey League out of Canada, has extended an offer to the Canadian native to join their team for the 2012-2013 hockey season.

"Very rarely do you see this combination of skill and toughness," Head Coach/Director of Hockey Operations Matt O'Dette said in a statement to E! News about the offer. "We share a common Canadian heritage since we both hail from Ontario."

O'Dette said he discovered this "skill and toughness" when he scouted some tape of the singer slinging pucks online. (Bieber played for the Toronto Maple Leafs last year.)

"I think he could provide some elusive speed up front for us. Plus, he's a right-handed shot, which we've been looking to add. I think if we paired him on a line with [Robby] Dee and [Peter] Boyd we'd be tough to beat."

Condors General Manager Matt Riley shared that he's reached out to Bieber's manager, Scooter Braun, about the offer and said he's "hopeful" that Bieber might end up on the league. A rep for the singer had not responded to MTV News by press time.

Whether or not Bieber ends up suiting up with the team for the upcoming season (which seems unlikely considering his Believe tour kicks off later this month in Arizona and shows no signs of stopping for league games), he still plans to hit the court with Mark Wahlberg for their long-in-the-works basketball-themed flick.
